MOBILE ADOPTION VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES
— We do mobile adoptions on Saturday and Sundays.
— We hold the mobile adoptions at several places around the community such as Walmart in Corbin, Williamsburg and London KY, Petsmart in Richmond, KY off I-75 Exit 87, Tractor Supply in Williamsburg and London, KY and at Petsense in London KY.
— We pick up the dogs from the shelter at 8:30 a.m. We drive the KWAS van to the mobile adoption site, arriving between 9 and 10 a.m.
— At the mobile adoption site, volunteers help by unloading the dogs, taking them to go to the bathroom, setting up inside, taking them for walks to do their business, talking to people interested in adopting about the dogs, helping with adoption paperwork, seeing dogs off to their forever homes.
— At around 2 p.m., we pack up the dogs that didn’t get adopted and drive back to the shelter. We arrive at the shelter around 3:30 or so, unload the dogs, clean up and are done around 4:00.
