Here are our available dogs for adoption. You’re welcome to call the shelter to get more information on any dog, and we’d be glad to discuss what you’re looking for in case we have another dog that might be a match for you. Also, please note that not every dog at our shelter is shown below. You’re also welcome to visit our shelter to meet any of our available dogs. If you do not see a dog that we have available for adoption that matches what you’re looking for, DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED FROM ADOPTING! Go to Petfinder.com and enter your zip code. Dogs in your area that are with shelters and rescues such as HART and Homeward Bound will be displayed.
It is a common misconception that animals end up in shelters because the animal has a behavioral problem of some kind. In fact, it is usually no fault of the animal that he or she is in the shelter. Most dogs in shelters are released (abandoned or dropped off at the shelter) because the owner is no longer able to care for the animal due to hardship, a change in circumstances, or a lack of continued desire to care for the animal.
Remember that when you adopt from a shelter or rescue, you are truly saving a life, while gaining the unconditional and forever love of an animal.
