Animal Abuse

Recently, Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter took in a victim of animal cruelty from Knox County. The dog was covered in gashes and wounds, and when he came in, all he wanted was to be petted and loved.

Animal cruelty is not only wrong—it is against the law in every state in this country! Animal abuse can also be part of a pattern of other violent acts within families and society. Abuse of any kind should be reported to the appropriate authorities immediately.

We here at the shelter want to do all we can to help stop animal cruelty, but we need all the help we can get. Here at ASPCA’s website, it gives the top ten ways to prevent animal cruelty. The community and state needs to work together to help stop this abuse.
